Specifications include, but are not limited to: private/contract management for either or both the 4,000-seat sports and entertainment venue known as the St. Joseph Civic Arena and the 1,100+-seat historic Missouri Theater (via a single management agreement). The successful firm shall oversee all aspects of each venue including operations, concessions, scheduling, ticketing, food and beverage, technology, security, parking, traffic, maintenance, and marketing. ; The selected respondent will be responsible for full and complete day-today management of the venues. The scope or work includes, but is not limited to: A. Solicit, book, promote, and develop concerts, family shows, athletic events, theatrical performances, meetings, and other events at the venues in order to allow for continued current local use of the venues while maximizing the number of events and income for the city and to benefit the quality of life of residents and visitors to St. Joseph and the surrounding area. B. Work with existing regular user groups in a manner consistent with current practice. These relationships have unique financial and scheduling arrangements that will be provided in attachments to this document. Modifications will only be allowed if the user groups, city, and management company all agree.; C. Solicit, hire, train, and manage all full and part-time staff necessary to regularly maintain and operate the venues. D. Manage the sales and marketing of advertising/sponsorship programs, as well as premium seating. E. Manage the food and beverage operations (or contracts). F. Oversee all aspects of event ticket sales. G. Maintain the physical plant and elements of the venues in good, safe, and sanitary condition consistent with the requirements of federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
