2. Scope of Work The work under this bid includes, but is not limited to: • ADA Sidewalk Construction: Construction of sidewalks in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, including ramps, curbs, and associated concrete work. • Utility Street Cuts Concrete Repair: Repair of roadways with concrete in areas where utility cuts have been made, ensuring the surface is restored to the original or better condition. Details are attached. • On-Call Services: The contractor will be on-call to respond to requests from the City for the abovementioned services within 45 days of notification. 3. Specifications 3.1 ADA Sidewalks: • Compliance with all ADA guidelines. • Concrete shall be a minimum of 4,000 psi, air-entrained. • Sidewalks shall be a minimum of 5 feet in width unless otherwise specified. • Ramps shall have a slope not exceeding 1:12. • All transitions must be smooth and free of any lip or tripping hazard. 3.2 Utility Street Cuts: • Concrete mix shall have a minimum compressive strength of 4,000 psi at 28 days. • All subgrade materials must be compacted to 95% Standard Proctor Density. • All utility cuts must be saw cut 12” wider than the original excavation. • The concrete surface must be smooth with a medium broom finish. • Joints must be saw cut straight and perpendicular to the flow of traffic. 4. Contractor Responsibilities • Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation required to complete the work. • Ensure all work is done in compliance with City of Neosho specifications. • Protect existing infrastructure and utilities during construction. • Coordinate with utility companies as necessary. • Maintain a clean and safe worksite. • Provide traffic control as required. 5. Qualifications • Contractors must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in concrete construction and ADA compliance. • Proof of similar projects completed within the last three years. • Licensed to perform work in the City of Neosho.
