Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The City of Blue Springs is soliciting pet adoption services to assist the Police Department with animal control services. The services include, but are not limited to: ❖ Animal control officers delivering animals that are picked-up in the City, after the 5 day stray hold, to the service provider and notifying the service provider of said animals; ❖ Disease testing, vaccinations, spay/neutering; 2. Provide adoption services for all animals, The successful animal adoption service provider will also need to have the capacity to provide adoption services relating to the services described in Section 1.0 above for primarily cats, dogs, and / or access to a facility on rare occasions for smaller livestock and wildlife (chickens, goats, horses, etc.). Animal Control officers respond to service requests 24-hours per day, 7 days per week, and 365 days per year. Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Animal control officers respond to after hours and weekend emergency calls also. 3. The City is seeking a service provider that can provide adoption services. Please provide following information (1) contact information for the organization and contact person. (2) Services the organization provides as part of the adoption services; and (3) Any fees the organization charges for said adoption services. Further, the City expects that any subcontractor complies with the terms of the adoption services listed in this Request for Proposals as well as provisions in the Contract related to adoption services.
