Acquisition and delivery of the new turning target stands. Acceptable product shall be fixed turning target stands. The turning target stand shall be electronically actuated. Contractor to include power and terminations from panel TL to Contractor provided target turning systems. o Panel TL is shown on FGMA drawings sheet E1.01. o Panel TL provided by others. o TL Panel provided at 100A 120/208V 3 Phase, 4 Wire. o Contractor to pull power from TL panel to all target actuators as needed. Contractor will have all electrical wires ran in a steel conduit. o The conduit shall conceal and protect the electrical lines from weather and damage from debris. The conduit shall provide easy access for installation and service. The stand shall be mounted upright to a concrete pad (concrete pad by others). Shown on FGMA drawings sheet A2.0 detail 5 Section – Target System Multiple target stands can be cross-range ground-mounted. Target actuators shall support the use of 6lbs 24” x 48” x 3.5” thick foam target backer. Target actuators shall rotate 360 degrees in 90-degree face/edge increments. o Target rotation shall be controlled by the 360-degree random edging target-turning mechanism. o Target actuators shall have a ½ second turn time +/- 25%. Target actuators shall be capable of independent control or synchronization with a master control system. Target actuators shall be outdoor rated down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit. o Target actuators shall function in rain and wind. Targets must be relatively stable in higher wind conditions. Quick disconnects for the wiring to the actuator shall be provided. This is to allow St Charles County Range staff to remove and replace an individual stand for maintenance. o Tools shall not be required to disconnect target actuators. The target actuator shall be totally field repairable or replaceable within 2 hours of going down. o Field rebuild operation may be accomplished using standard hand tools such as a socket wrench, screwdriver, and hex wrenches. o The target actuator servicing shall not require the use of power tools such as impact wrenches and electric drills. Target actuators shall be controlled by a Master Control System. o At least one wireless tablet style remote controller shall be included. o Tablet must be rugged and work in all locations of this range in all weather conditions o The target actuator shall have software to allow multiple units to operate in a preprogrammed scenario. o The scenario software must be able to be programed by St Charles County staff. No 3rd party shall be required to setup scenarios. o 3 extra target actuators shall be included for repairs. The target stand shall be of solid steel construction. o The target stand shall be hot-dip galvanized for long-term exposure to harsh weather conditions. The deflection plate will be constructed of 3/8 AR500 steel and be powder coated. Shown on FGMA drawings sheet A2.0 detail 5 Section – Target System Target stand and deflection plate overall dimensions shall provide protection from a 24-149 Police Department Firing Range Target Turning System Proposal Response from (please complete) Page 10 of 17 _______________________________________ Name of Company or Individual direct strike from rounds and protection from “splash” of the round fragmenting. All inner parts (motor, switches, PCB, chain drive mechanism) shall be protected by a removable cover to protect all components from harsh weather conditions. Target actuator housing and cover shall be constructed of solid steel plate with a yellow zinc chromate finish for long term exposure to harsh weather conditions.
