Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of St. Louis intends to enter into a contract whereby the company or organization would provide Refuse Removal Services at Soulard Market which is located at 730 Carroll Street in the City of St. Louis. The Contractor shall be responsible for everything required to be performed and shall provide and furnish all the labor, materials, necessary tools, expendable equipment and supplies, vehicles, transportation services, educational services, facilities and landfill space required to perform and complete the collection and disposal of solid waste and recyclables with processors required to perform and complete the processing and marketing of recyclables. The City reserves the right to audit all records associated with the proper disposal and recycling of above and to inspect the facilities used to dispose and recycle the Market’s waste. Initially, it shall be the duty of the contractor to place a maximum of 180 cubic yards of waste and recycling containers during the months of May through December and a maximum of 160 cubic yards of waste and recycling containers during the month of January through April in spaces and container sizes approved by the Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry. Solid waste, bulky waste and recyclables must be collected twice per week every Friday and Saturday evening between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm and containers must remove all excess waste stacked or placed next to dumpsters. There shall be no maximum limit on the amount of solid waste, bulky waste or recyclables set out for collection on a weekly basis. The contractor must abide by this collection schedule. Material collected for recycling must be all types of cardboard, including waxed and unwaxed with and without staples. Upon request the contractor shall supply additional containers and replace containers if any become damaged.
