Existing Conditions The selected consultant for this project will review all relevant plans to inform the analysis and recommendations from this study. Studies to be reviewed include: • Basehor Comprehensive Plan • Basehor Zoning Regulations for the study area • MetroGreen Trail Network The existing conditions report should utilize the comprehensive plan, review proposed land uses in the study area to identify where land use and housing zoning improvements would better guide development of the study area in relation to new transportation infrastructure. Additionally, the report should include an inventory of existing conditions that provide opportunities for water recreation on the site which may include but not limited to public water access, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc. Deliverables: Existing Conditions Report Public and Stakeholder Engagement A robust and equitable public engagement process is required to meet the needs of the projects sponsors and the requirements of the Planning Sustainable Places program. It is expected that extensive public input and a Stakeholder committee will be required for this plan. The consultant will work with the project sponsor to establish a project Steering Committee that reflects the diversity of the community and specifically includes: • Business owners • Private citizens • City advocates • USD 458 Basehor-Linwood School District • Basehor Community Library • VFW Post 11499 • Basehor Chamber of Commerce • Consolidated Water District #1 • Legacy Senior Living Apartments • Pebblebrooke Adult Living Community
