5.1 OVERVIEW St. Louis County (County) is seeking bids for the removal of trees at various rights of way locations throughout the county, including stump grinding, debris hauling, cleanup, seed and straw. 5.2 WORK COMPLETION SCHEDULE 5.2.1 The Contractor will be required to complete all work within 60 calendar days after the notice to proceed. 5.2.2 Work may be scheduled anytime between sunrise and sunset. 5.3 LOCATIONS 5.3.1 The locations for this work are shown on the attached bid sheets, Attachment-A_Pricing. 5.3.2 Trees in Attachment-A_Pricing have been marked with a pink and a white dot at approximately 5 feet above grade. 5.3.3 It is the Contractor’s responsibility to verify actual field conditions and requirements for each site prior to submitting a bid for this work. 5.3.4 No additional expenses will be paid for multiple mobilizations during the contract period. 5.4 WORK CREW AND EQUIPMENT 5.4.1 Contractor is to furnish an experienced crew in tree felling and stump grinding, together with supervision and necessary equipment sufficient in size to accomplish the work in a professional and timely manner. 5.4.2 Contractor’s employees must provide visible identification that the Contractor employs them. 5.4.3 Contractor must submit an equipment list with the bid, which lists all equipment to be used in the performance of the work. 5.4.4 Contractor may leave equipment at a site overnight while work is being done at that site. 5.4.5 County is not responsible for vandalism, damage, theft or liability to Contractor’s equipment. 5.4.6 Contractor must not block any ingress / egress for emergency equipment. 5.4.7 County will provide access Monday thru Friday (no weekends) from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM to a locked, fenced area to store equipment. The County is unavailable outside those hours to lock or unlock the area. The County cannot be held liable for this equipment.
