Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division requires network services provided through the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators network (AAMVAnet™). The federal government has mandated all 50 states comply with the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act (CMVSA) of 1986, Public Law 99-570 and therefore utilize the standardized Commercial Driver License Information System (CDLIS) that is only available from American Association of Motor Vehicle Administers (AAMVA). American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) is the only vendor that can provide AAMVAnet™. Additionally, the passage of the REAL ID Act of 2005, required states to meet document issuance standards and compliance requirements. To support this Federal mandate AAMVA implemented the State Pointer Exchange Service, which include new REAL ID compliance requirements and CDLIS provisions and is only available under AAMVAnet™.
