Description of Work
Bloomfield Township storm system improvements, taking place in 24 different areas within the township. The
following general areas of work will be performed:
• Storm Pipe Rehabilitation
o This rehabilitation includes the cleaning and televising of 4,963 linear feet of pipe, sewer
lining of pipes ranging from 8 inches to 36 inches and sectional lining of pipes. 2,653 linear
feet of full lining will be done, with there being 15 sectional liners, ranging from 2-8 feet in
length to 9-16 feet. There will also be one pipe replacement, which includes the removal of the
sewer pipe, one sewer tap, and the associated 36 linear feet of trenching.
• Manhole and Catch Basin Rehabilitation
o The manhole and catch basin rehabilitation includes the cleaning of 131 structures, removing
and replacing 14 covers and frames, 38 chimney tuck points, and three structures with step
replacements. There will also be seven chimney demolitions and reconstructions, and one curb
inlet replacement.
• Pavement Repair
o With the rehabilitation of structures and pipes, there will also be 83.5 square yards of
pavement removed, as well as 16 linear feet of curb and gutter removal. To repair it, there will
be 83.5 square yards of aggregate base, 6 inch, modified, 7.5 tons of HMA MDOT 13A, and
60.5 square yards of 8 inch nonreinforced concrete.
