Summary of Specifications:
The Charter Township of Brighton is seeking proposals for the cleaning and vacuuming of a wet well located 11105 Grand River, Brighton MI 48114 for a sanitary sewer lift station (Station #1). This station was previously cleaned in April of 2014 and more than 5,000 gallons of detritus was removed. WET WELL CLEANING SPECIFICATIONS: • Station is above ground Gorman Rupp with two pumps. • Domestic wastewater pumping station. • Wet Well dimensions are 14’ by 16’ with an operating capacity of 7,700 gallons. • Access to wet well is through confined space entry. Manhole is exterior to enclosure with one 1 sq ft access port interior to station enclosure. • Approximate working depth for vactoring is from 6’ to 14’. • Station to be cleaned entirely of accumulated floating grease and scum mat, pumped down and checked for silt buildup on floor of wet well, to be cleaned as necessary. • Bypass pumping for duration of cleaning procedure to be supplied by contractor or sub-contractor. • Proper disposal of materials and detritus removed from wet well with provision of manifests if necessary. • Contractor responsible for all site safety and employee safety during cleaning process.
