Summary of Specifications:
Construction plans and specifications will be available on the internet through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN - www.govbids.com) or can be viewed at the office of Giffels-Webster Engineers, 6303 26 Mile Road Suite 100, Washington, MI 48094 after 3:00 PM on Monday, June 10th, 2013. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, exclusive of Pressure Reducing Vault, provide all labor and equipment necessary and incidental to complete the Work as set forth in this invitation in accordance with the Charter Township of Clinton standards. These principal items include, but are not limited to: 1. The construction of approximately 97 feet of 36” concrete water main pipe and all applicable fittings, Installation of one 14’ dia. PRV station, three 12’ dia. Gate Wells, traffic control and restoration. 2. The construction of approximately 145 feet of 16” ductile iron water main pipe and all applicable fittings, Installation of one 10’ dia. PRV station, three 7’-2” dia. Gate Wells, traffic control and restoration. In order to provide Clinton Township with contractors and subcontractors who will carry out the work in a timely and satisfactory manner, an approved prequalification for construction of water main installation and replacement must be on file with the Township prior to the bid opening. The qualifications for the general contractor and all subcontractors to be used on the project will be reviewed on the basis of the proposed bidder’s past performance on work of a similar nature for Clinton Township and other owners.
