Summary of Specifications:
A total of two (2) generators will be installed by the selected contractor. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary and incidental to complete the Work as set forth in this invitation in accordance with the Charter Township of Clinton and all other applicable standards. These principal items generally include, but are not limited to: 1. Installation of natural gas generators, capable of providing full backup power for each pump station site. 2. Connection to a new gas lead and pedestal supplied and installed by others (Consumers Energy). 3. Installation of a 6” concrete foundation at each location. 4. Installation of a 240V 3-phase transformer at the Manila Road pump station with automatic transfer switches. 5. Installation of a 480V 3-phase transformer at the Dunham Road pump station with automatic transfer switches. 6. Installation of a 6-foot high chain-link fence with double swing gate for clear access to the generator. 7. Installation of auxiliary raceways from the proposed generators to the existing SCADA panel. 8. Restoration of all disturbed areas to original condition or better following construction. Selected contractor shall submit detailed shop drawings for all equipment meeting the criteria specified herein. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all required permits for construction and coordinating all activities with the Township and Consumers Energy throughout the duration of the project. Bidders must be a licensed electrical contractor and demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years experience supplying and installing related equipment. Submitted bids shall include all costs associated with a complete and operational installation. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner and their respective Employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. The Charter Township of Clinton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities, therein when such waiver is in the interest of the Charter Township of Clinton, and to award the contract to other than the low bidder.
