Summary of Specifications:
Oakland Township Parks and Recreation is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified contractors to perform prescribed burns in Oakland Township parks in 2017. Proposals will be received at the Oakland Township offices at 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI 48306 until Monday, January 30, 2017, at 3:00 P.M., Local Time. The Oakland Township Parks & Recreation Commission is currently accepting bids for the 2017 Prescribed Burns for the following properties: Cranberry Lake Park (44.2 acres), Lost Lake Nature Park (7.3 acres), Marsh View Park (66.2 acres), Paint Creek Trail – South Parcels (10.4 acres), Paint Creek Trail – North Parcels (23.5 acres), for up a maximum of 151.6 acres. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to obtain any permits and contact the proper authorities before burning (e.g. fire department and sheriff’s department). Oakland Township Parks and Recreation will notify neighbors of upcoming burns. The submission of a proposal by a contractor shall be considered evidence that the contractor is satisfied with respect to the conditions to be encountered and the character, quantity and quality of the work to be performed. Oakland Township Parks and Recreation officially distributes bid documents from the Oakland Township Clerk’s Office, 4393 Collins Rd, Rochester, MI 48306 and the Oakland Township website, www.oaklandtownship.org. Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from the Oakland Township Clerks’ Office or Oakland Township website are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued.
OAKLAND TOWNSHIP PARKS AND RECREATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL PROPOSALS, AND TO WAIVE IRREGULARITIES IN PROPOSALS.
