The Project identified for completion between 2020 and 2021 is the renovation and expansion
of Township Fire Station #3 located on Welch Road. It is the Township’s objective to make
Station #3 the headquarters for the Commerce Township Fire Department. Improvements
include:
General Project Scope:
Expanding the size and number of garage bays to (4) bays.
Expanding the driveway areas to allow for greater parking and the easier maneuvering of fire
apparatus.
Expanding the parking areas around the facility.
Adding (6) offices.
Building training rooms to accommodate (65) people.
Addition of storage areas.
Addition of compressor room.
Building an outdoor training tower.
Improvements to living areas for firefighters, including kitchen, dorms, and exercise rooms.
Anticipated Project Budget of $5,000,000 inclusive of hard and soft costs.
All Proposers are placed on notice that the scope of the Project may be revised, expanded or
reduced as allowed by law, based on market conditions, received bids, value engineering,
schedule changes, and other similar variables. Proposers have taken this into consideration
when submitting their proposals.
