Ribbon Cutting is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 am. All work must be completed by this date.
The two planting areas are at the south end of Kohler St. and Briggs St. in Waterford Township, off of Crescent Lake Rd. near Tubbs Rd.
These planted areas are the final step in construction of the Riverwalk from Crescent Lake Rd. to the Drayton Plains Nature Center. The completion date of the construction project was originally 5/20/25 giving us a full month to plant the green barrier before the Ribbon Cutting. Delays on the delivery of a bridge have pushed this date to an estimated completion date of 6/20/25 leaving only one week to accomplish the planting and mulching. There is a possibility of an earlier completion of construction.
