REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Website Developer Date of Request: May 8, 2013 Due Date: May, 31, 2013 In October 2012, Governor Rick Snyder appointed Joyce A. Parker Emergency Manager (EM) for the City of Allen Park. The appointment occurred due to the Governor declaring a “State of Emergency” for the city. Since the EM has been appointed a number of actions are underway to improve city services including website development and management. Scope of Services • Work with the Allen Park Municipal Web Team in developing an appealing, smart and user friendly site to include: Municipal Appearance (Home Page with Messages from Emergency Manager and Mayor) Photos of Elected Officials (with brief bio) Hosting capabilities Interface with AP Downtown Development Authority website Other: hyperlinks to AP business district Downloadable Documents for permits, licenses, etc. Calendar of Events E-Newsletter (optional) Develop a “resident feedback” or “citizen’s complaint form” Other requirements as necessary • Assist in training the Allen Park Web Team in maintaining the site • Work with the Emergency Manager, Elected Officials and Webteam to provide a plan to promote a positive image for the city. Compensation: Provide an estimated cost to develop and host the site, train approximately 4 personnel and provide scope of services stated above. Term of Contract: The newly designed website should be functional by September 9, 2013.
