Summary of Specifications:
The City of Ann Arbor is soliciting bids for removal and cleanup of emergency tree work, which includes two types of work: 1) on-call after hours work and 2) day storm work. Work locations will be on city rights-of-way, including sidewalks and public streets, and any city property as directed by the Contract Administer. Emergencies are identified as a sudden, unexpected occurrence demanding immediate attention, as situations occur on an on-call basis and as needed. 1) On-call after hour’s work is defined as emergency work not conducted during normal working hours during the day. Contractor must be available 24 hours a day and seven days a week, including nights, weekends and holidays. 2) Day storm work is emergency work performed during normal working hours of the day and week. Contractor shall begin storm work within 24 hours of being called by the City. The emergency crew must have at minimum electrical hazard training or one member that is line clearance certified, and otherwise meet applicable MIOSHA and other organization regulations for conducting such work. Contractor must keep in communication with involved Field Operations staff during emergency work as requested. The bidder(s) is required to furnish a bid for all services as defined in this document. This document contains defined requirements, specifications, scope of work, and all contractual terms and conditions. **All conditions of this contract apply to both on-call and day emergency work, unless specifically designated as 1) on-call after hours work or 2) day storm work.
