RFP-959 - Harvesting of Aquatic Vegetation in Geddes Pond

Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a company to provide aquatic plant harvesting using environmentally sound methods to control excessive aquatic plant growth and nuisance vegetation in ponds and river impoundments within City parkland. The City requires harvesting of up to 7 acres of aquatic plants in Geddes Pond with up to three cuttings in the summer of 2016. Select areas within the river impoundment should be cleared of aquatic plants using environmentally sensitive practices, for aesthetics and to allow for recreation boating such as canoeing, kayaking, paddleboating and small motorboats.
