The City of Ann Arbor is seeking professional services to complete a cultural assessment of the Department of Human Resources and Labor Relations. The department is currently undergoing a transition in leadership and in anticipation of hiring a new director, the city wishes to complete a thorough cultural assessment to help guide the hiring process.
The Department of Human Resources and Labor Relations includes 15 employees including all full-time, part-time, and temporary positions, in addition to the director. The Department manages job specifications, compensation and salary decision processes, recruitment of new positions, human resources support and administration, labor relations and negotiations, and benefits administration for each unit of Ann Arbor city government.
The City of Ann Arbor is seeking services for a period not to exceed six weeks, and is eager to receive proposals that reflect the most up-to-date best practices in the field of organizational cultural assessment. The final work product should include an analysis of the social work environment in the office, how departmental policies and practices may contribute to it, and the norms, values or other factors that may drive behavior in the organization.
