Summary of Specifications:
The City is requesting proposals for miscellaneous storm water and sanitary sewer repair projects. It is the City's intent to award up to three contracts to qualified Contractors for values not to exceed $250,000 each with no minimum value. The Contract duration shall be two years from notice-toproceed. The second year shall be subject to funding approved by City Council for the FY2011 Budget. The type of work covered by these contracts may include, but is not be limited to, repair and/or replacement of the following: sanitary sewer lines, storm sewer lines, manholes, storm water outfalls, and any other related storm water or sanitary sewer structures. Work may involve minor improvements to the sanitary or storm water collection systems and could involve bypass pumping. Examples include construction of a storm water detention basin, rehabilitation of storm water collection ditches, excavation, grading, placement of rip rap, or other storm water repair activities to be determined by the City. The City intends to award individual tasks, such as those illustrated above, to one of the selected Contractors based on their availability, experience, and/or cost of services. The City may request proposals from both Contractors for a specified task and select the Contractor that provides the lowest cost or proposal that is in the best interest ofthe City (not necessarily the lowest cost).
