Summary of Specifications:
The City of Ann Arbor is seeking the services of a firm to provide the labor, equipment and materials necessary to operate and maintain the City’s Waste Transfer Station (TS), and to transport the waste materials to a permitted facility for disposal. The Transfer Station is located at 4130 Platt Road in Pittsfield Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. In addition, the City is seeking the services of a firm to provide the labor, equipment and materials necessary to transport and dispose of: 1) dewatered centrifuge cake from the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP); and, 2) other materials from the WWTP (trash, scum, grit and screenings). These materials are picked up at the WWTP, which is located at 49 Old Dixboro Road in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Finally, the City is seeking the services of a firm to provide disposal of: 1) street sweepings; and, 2) vactoring material and soil from City construction/maintenance projects. These materials will be transported by the City to the designated disposal facility. The City is seeking these services for a period of five (5) years, with the City reserving an option to extend the contract term for up to two additional five-year periods.
