2024-0612 - Evidence/Property Lockers

The Auburn Hills Police Department currently utilizes passthrough evidence lockers. However, currently police officers are required to bring contraband and weapons into the secure prisoner holding area of the building to place evidence/property items into the lockers. In addition, the Property Clerk is required to transport the evidence from the first floor to the basement for permanent storage. The area just outside the property/evidence room is getting remodeled to correct the issue of taking contraband and weapons into the secure prisoner holding area. Moving the property/evidence processing room will also greatly improve the chain of custody for the Property Clerk.
