RFP-Chesterfield Bay Door - Chesterfield Bay Door

Summary of Specifications:
The Birmingham Fire Department is looking to have an apparatus bay door widened from 10’ X 10’ to 12’ X 10’ to allow for a new, larger engine. The fire station is known as the Chesterfield Fire Station located at 1600 W. Maple, Birmingham Michigan. The front of the station has three bay doors; we are looking to widen the middle bay door. Demo work will be required to remove the middle bay door which is 10’ X 10’ and a new door shall be 12’ X 10’. The new door will be insulated and have windows with a weather seal. The bid price will include electrical work for door operator. The door opening will have to be widened from 10’ X 10’ to 12’ X 10’. Brick and mortar will have to be removed to widen the opening. No height adjustments needed. We would like the door to match the existing doors but if that is not possible please explain differences. We are looking to start the project ASAP and would like completion by March 22, 2013 or sooner. Pictures of existing door are provided.
