ITB-BIR DPS Invasive 1108 - Removal of Invasive Trees/Shrubs 2008-2009

Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals endorsed "Removal of Invasive Trees/Shrubs, 2008-2009" will be received at the office of the Assistant Director of the Department of Public Services, 851 S. Eton Road, Birmingham, Michigan, until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2008, after which time no further bids will be accepted, and at which time the bids received will be publicly opened and read. 

The proposal will be for the removal of invasive woody trees, shrubs and vines from the museum woodlands and the west side of Quarton Lake, herein described in the specifications. Further, the stumps of the woody trees and shrubs are to be chemically treated and seedlings foliar sprayed. The museum woodlands are located north of Maple Road (15 Mile Road) west of Southfield Road. The portion of Quarton Lake covered under this proposal is located on Lake Park between Pine and Oak streets. This section of park for purposes of this bid is located on the west side of the Rouge River. The combined two areas constitute approximately 8.82 acres.
