RFP-Bates Street - Request for Developer Qualifications/Proposals - Bates St.

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Birmingham, Michigan is seeking a developer or a development team to undertake the collective redevelopment of a parcel of public property of approximately 4 acres located in the City’s Central Business District. The details of the City’s interests are outlined within this Request for Qualifications/Proposals (RFQ/P). 

The City’s objective is to solicit creative and innovative development plans from qualified Developers that will extend Bates Street from Willits to North Old Woodward, introduce residential, commercial and/or mixed uses and increase the number of public parking spaces contained on this property. The City owns the entire parcel and its parking structure. The northern end of this parcel is planned for designation as park property along the Rouge River. 

Based on the development plan selected, the City may lease or sell a portion or all of the property for development provided the development guidelines are met.
