Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals endorsed "Spring 2012 Tree Purchase and Planting Project, Birmingham MI.” will be received at the Department of Public Services Offices, 851 S. Eton Road, Birmingham, Michigan, 48009 until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2012, after which time no further bids will be accepted, and at which time the bids received will be publicly opened and read. Materials shall be in accordance with the specifications prepared by the Department of Public Services.
The proposal will be for the total project cost to provide and plant approximately forty nine (49) 2.5”-3”, B & B trees for the Spring 2012 planting season in the City’s parks and right-of-ways on various streets throughout the City of Birmingham. All work must be completed by May 31, 2012 herein described in the specifications.
Specifications as to the size, type, quality and quantity of trees to be purchased and planted for which pricing is being requested may be obtained at www.MITN.info. Alternate varieties may be bid provided they are of like species and growth habit, subject to the city’s approval. There will be no deliveries to the City of Birmingham and no on-site storage for trees, supplies, or spoils available.
