Description

The road construction project will include installation of new combined sewers, storm sewers, water mains, concrete pavement, sidewalks, landscaping, irrigation, electrical, and fiber optic conduits on Old Woodward Avenue between Brown Street and Landon Street in the City of Birmingham. The project will be the third phase of the City’s downtown streetscape improvements (phases 1 and 2 were constructed further north on Old Woodward Avenue and Maple Avenue in 2018 and 2020). Approximate quantities are as follows: 3,107 linear feet of main line combined and storm sewer; 938 linear feet of undergrouond storm detention system; 558 linear of of new water wains, 11,550 square yards of new full-depth pavement/curb; 76,040 square feet of concrete walk/drive approaches; plus other work to make a complete project.

Fully Completed Sworn Statement of Qualifications must be submitted to the Engineering Department of the City of Birmingham prior to the bid opening. This shall be completed by 5:00 P.M., Monday, March 7th, 2022.

Sealed proposals endorsed "SOUTH OLD WOODWARD AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT (PHASE 3) - CONTRACT # 1-22(P) " will be received from contractors by the City of Birmingham, at the office of the City Clerk, located at 151 Martin Street, Birmingham, MI 48012, until 2:00 P.M. local time, on Monday March 21, 2022. The proposals will be opened and publicly read aloud at that time. Bids submitted after the exact time specified for receipt will not be considered.
