INVITATION TO BID
The City of Cadillac is requesting bids for site clearing, grading, and restoration work related to the Diggins Hill Community Park Playground Project. Complete specifications and details are available at www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn or from the Project Engineer either via email or mailed copies: Prein & Newhof, Connie Houk, P.E. 100 East Chapin Street, Suite A, Cadillac, MI 49601; chouk@preinnewhof.com; (231) 342-8480. Payment of $30.00 for mailed set of plans and specifications. There will be no refund of deposit for returned contract documents. All project documents must be reviewed prior to the submission of any bid.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Director of Finance, Municipal Complex, 200 N. Lake Street, Cadillac, Michigan 49601 and clearly marked “DIGGINS HILL COMMUNITY PARK PLAYGROUND BID” by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened at the Cadillac Municipal Complex.
THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS/PROPOSALS.
Bonding:
Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified check, money order, or bid bond, payable to the owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, as a proposal guarantee. Proposal guarantee of the bidders under consideration will be returned after approval of the contract by the owner. All others will be returned within 72 hours after the proposal opening.The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price.
