The City of Cadillac is inviting bids for the Marathon Drive Water Main Improvements Project. The work includes the following approximate quantities of major items: 3,400 Syd Aggegate Surface; 1,240 Lft of Water Main. Contract documents and detailed specifications may be obtained from the office of the project engineer: Prein & Newhof, 100 East Chapin Street, Suite A, Cadillac, MI 49601 (231) 468-3456 at a nonrefundable cost of $30.00 per mailed set of plans.
Bonding:
Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified check, money order, or bid bond, payable to the owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, as a proposal guarantee. Proposal guarantee of the bidders under consideration will be returned after approval of the contract by the owner. All others will be returned within 72 hours after the proposal opening.The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Director of Finance, Municipal Complex, 200 N. Lake Street, Cadillac, Michigan 49601 and clearly marked “MARATHON DRIVE WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS” by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at which time they will be publicly opened at the Cadillac Municipal Complex.
