The City of Cadillac is inviting bids for the White Pine Trail Extension and Trailhead Project. The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: Trailhead asphalt parking reconstruction, curb and gutter, sidewalk and sidewalk ramps, storm sewer, lighting, steel fabrication and installation of clock tower, site amenities, and pavement markings, including all necessary appurtenances and restoration.
Drawings and specifications are available online at www.preinnewhof.com/plan-room or at the Cadillac office of Prein&Newhof. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who have been pre-qualified by Owner in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and are active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room. Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. Hard copy drawings and specifications are available for the fee of $25.00 dollars. Prein&Newhof Plan Room members who want to purchase the hard copy of the drawings only, may do so for $25.00 dollars. A $15 dollar charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded.
The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by funds received from MDNR Trust Fund Grant and City of Cadillac. All relevant State or Federal requirements apply to this contract. The Contractor and all sub-contractors must comply with all requirements of 1976 PA 453 (Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act), the 1976 PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), and Executive Directive 2019-09, as amended.
A bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check payable to City of Cadillac in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of thirty (30) days after the receipt of bids.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Director of Finance, Municipal Complex, 200 N. Lake Street, Cadillac, Michigan 49601 and clearly marked “WHITE PINE TRAIL EXTENSION AND TRAILHEAD BID” by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened at the Cadillac Municipal Complex.
