Description

The City of East Lansing is responsible for the management of trees located on City owned property, parks and in the parkways (ROW) and medians of streets. The City provides the following services to maintain, enhance and promote the benefits of the urban forest:

Maintenance pruning
Tree removal
Stump removal
Emergency trimming and removal

In the past, a private contractor has provided services in coordination with City staff. The contract had been extended throughout the years, but with the private contractor’s closing of business, a new contractor is necessary. The private contractor is responsible for tree pruning, removal, stump removal and emergency services as needed.

Three copies of the proposal documents shall be submitted in a sealed envelope. If mailed, send the proposal to Department of Public Works, City of East Lansing, 410 Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI. 48823. If hand delivered, submit the proposal to the Department of Public Works at 1800 E. State Road, East Lansing, MI. Public offices at DPW are currently closed to the public. Please call ahead at (517) 337-9459 for hand delivered proposals. Office hours are currently 7:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., Monday-Friday.

The envelope shall be clearly marked on the exterior denoting the name of the firm submitting the proposal and the name of the particular contract for which the proposal is offered.

The proposals shall be submitted by no later than 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 14, 2021.
