RFP 2021-03 - ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR FY 2022 MAJOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON BURCHAM & HASLETT

The City of East Lansing is requesting qualified civil engineering consultants to submit proposals for performing survey, design and inspection services for the 2022 Major Street project on Burcham Drive and the sidewalk gap closure project on Haslett Road.  The identified projects are currently programmed in the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and have received conditional commitment and award for Safe Routes to School/Transportation Alternatives Program (SRTS/TAP) Federal funding and local agency funding.  The scope of work includes completing a topographic survey of existing conditions, drainage structure evaluations, design, preparing final plans, specifications, engineering estimate, inspection of the projects and record drawings upon project completion.  The proposed limits on Burcham Drive are from Abbot Road to Timberlane Street and includes the SRTS pedestrian safety project for Marble Elementary and MacDonald Middle Schools.  The limits of the proposed Haslett Road sidewalk construction project are located on the north side of the street from Deerpath Lane to Merritt Road.
