RFP - 20-001 - Engineering Services for FY20 Major Street Improv. on Trowbridge & Forest Roads

The City of East Lansing is requesting qualified civil engineering consultants to submit proposals for performing survey, design and inspection services for the 2020 Major Street projects on Trowbridge Road and Forest Road.  The identified projects are currently programmed in the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to receive Federal and local agency funding.  The scope of work includes completing a topographic survey of existing conditions, drainage structure evaluations, design, preparing final plans, specifications, engineering estimate and inspection of the projects.  The proposed limits on Trowbridge Road will extend from the west city limits (west of Arbor Drive) east to Harrison Road.  The proposed limits on Forest Road are from Harrison Road east to College Road.

The existing roadways are major street routes with a National Function Classification as minor arterials, connecting Michigan State University campus traffic with the surrounding State of Michigan interstate systems.  The City would like Trowbridge Road improved to a Class A all-seasons road designation following construction.
