Sealed proposals will be received by the City of East Lansing at the Office of the Director of Public
Works, up to 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 30, 2021, at which time and place proposals will be
publicly opened and read for the furnishing of materials, labor, and equipment for retaining wall
replacement and sidewalk replacement on Oakhill Avenue (east of Hillcrest Avenue and west of
Sunset Lane) in the City of East Lansing.
Proposals may either be mailed to the Director of Public Works at 410 Abbot Road, East Lansing,
Michigan 48823, or hand delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Works located at 1800 E.
State Road, East Lansing, Michigan.
Bidding Documents may be obtained through the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network
(MITN) purchasing Group through the following website: https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn. Plans
will be available to view, purchase or download from BidNet as part of the Michigan MITN System.
Registration to MITN is available through their toll-free support department at 1-800-835-4603
option #2 and the above website.
Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City
of East Lansing, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, which shall be
forfeited to the City of East Lansing if the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fails to enter into
a Contract within ten (10) days after the Contract is awarded. The unsuccessful bidders' checks or
bid bonds will be returned upon final award of Contract, approved and executed.
