Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Farmington Hills Clerk's Office, Oakland County, Michigan at the 31555 Eleven Mile Road until 10:00 a.m., April 12, 2006 at which time and place all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. This project is funded by a grant under the Rouge River National Wet Weather Demonstration Project being administered by Wayne County Dept. of Environment and funded in part through USEPA. The grant identifies goals for disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE) participation including both minority owned (MBE) and women owned (WBE) participation. The grant requires a goal of awarding up to 30% of the dollar value for grant fundable tasks of the contracts to DBE’s (20% to MBE’s and 10% to WBE’s).

Excavation and Grading of Existing Soil 1,200 CY Remove and Replace 4” Concrete Sidewalk 150 SF Install 4” concrete Sidewalk 125 SF 8" Perforated under drain with peastone backfill 1,000 LF NDS overflow structures 7 EA Bio Retention Soil Mixture In Place 1,333 CY Slope Restoration 700 SY Remove 12” CMP Culvert 5 EA 3” Mulch in Place 250 CYD Native Perennial plugs installed 3,500 EA Native Shrubs (1 gallon) 150 EA Swale Re grading and restoration 300 LF Plus miscellaneous items necessary for a completed project.
Plans, specifications, and proposal forms may be obtained at the City Clerk's Office at the above address on or after March 21, 2006, upon deposit of $20.00, which is non-refundable. Proposals must be submitted on the proposal forms furnished by the City of Farmington Hills. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond by a recognized surety company in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Farmington Hills, as security for acceptance of the Contract. The City reserves the right to waive any or all proposals, to waive irregularities and/or informalities, and to make the award that, in the opinion of the City Council, is in the best interest and to the advantage of the City of Farmington Hills.
