Summary of Specifications:
The City of Farmington Hills may contract for Fertilizer/Weed Control Services at various locations throughout the City. The successful contractor will have at least five (5) years of experience in the Fertilizer/Weed Control business. Additionally, all bidders must provide a copy of their current Michigan Department of Agriculture Commercial Pesticide Applicator License and comply with all State, County and City Regulations. The City has a formal policy that encourages Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques and environmentally sound landscape management practices. The Specifications below attempt to address this by limiting the use of chemicals and requiring the use of slow release fertilizers. Bidders are encouraged to propose additional methods and the related costs for any additional practices that will further promote sound environmental landscape management.
