RFP-fh-05-06-1296 - Sustainability Study

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Farmington Hills is extending an invitation to qualified consultants to submit a proposal to develop a strategic plan for sustainability. The study on sustainability is part of a Management Audit performed every five years as required by the City Charter. We expect a consultant to provide specific recommendations for the preservation, viability, and sustainability of the City. 

We are interested in securing the services of a consultant that will provide an analysis of the City of Farmington Hills, and how the principles of sustainability may be applied to the long term health of the community. We anticipate that the issue of sustainability in our community would include an evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of our present state and the opportunities and barriers to continued economic growth. 

We are seeking objective insight into the complex issues that face a substantially developed community in Michigan and how best to maintain a high quality of life within that environment. In an effort to understand the topics that could be included in a sustainability study, we have assembled a list of areas that we believe are vital to this effort.
