The City of Ferndale believes that trees play a vital role in a vibrant and livable city and are a critical component of our parks, public spaces, and street right-of-ways.
The City of Ferndale invites you to bid on the supply of an estimated 50+ trees for our Spring tree plantings. Bids for plant material must be received electronically by The City of Ferndale on or before 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 24th, 2021. Late bids will not be accepted.
The City of Ferndale reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any bid or all bids, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any bid, and to make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the organization.
Specifications referred to herein are used to indicate the desired tree species, cultivar, root stock and size. An alternate may be offered if deviations from specifications are minor and if all deviations are properly outlined on the enclosed bid sheet. Failure to outline all deviations may be grounds for rejection of that item or the entire bid (see attached specifications). Trees may be rejected upon delivery for failing to meet any of the requirements specified herein.
All trees shall be guaranteed for one (1) full calendar year after installation and acceptance of work, to be delivered alive and in satisfactory condition at the end of the guarantee period. Such guarantee excludes vandalism, animal damage, automobile/vehicle damage and unforeseen weather events.
The decision of the City of Ferndale, acting through the Environmental Sustainability Planner, or her authorized representative, shall be final as to what constitutes acceptable deviations from specifications.
