The City of Garden City is accepting proposals for the
2020 ASPHALT RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAM
FULL DEPTH RECLAMATION — PHASE 2
in the City of Garden City, Wayne County, Michigan
This proposed project involves the full depth reclamation, Portland cement stabilization and resurfacing of six (6) streets in the City of Garden City with a total length of approximately 6,950 lineal feet . This project will also involve the establishment of positive drainage in the greenbelt area, installation of new and replacement of storm sewer crossings, replacement of defective sidewalks, placement of new sidewalks where sidewalk currently does not exist and sidewalk handicap ramp installation to current ADA requirements. In addition a replacement water main will be installed as part of the Donnelly Street work. The anticipated start date, weather permitting, is April 13, 2020 and substantially completed by October 16, 2020 with final completion by October 31, 2020.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the City of Garden City Clerk's Office, Hennessey Engineers, Inc., Southgate, Michigan, Construction Association of Michigan, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Construction Journal LTD, Stuart, Florida and CDC News Construction Journal, Vero Beach, Florida
Contract Documents will be available starting Tuesday, February 18, 2020 after 1:00 pm and may be purchased at: Hennessey Engineers, Inc., 13500 Reeck Road, Southgate, Michigan, 48195 upon payment of a fee of $60.00 per set, $75.00 if mailed, which is nonrefundable. Cash and check only accepted. Also, plans are now available on CD for a fee of $15.00 per CD or if mailed, $25.00.
Bidders must deposit, with their bid, surety in the form of a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any information or to reject any and/or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within 60 days after the date of bid opened.
The Contractor shall be aware that per the City of Garden City Ordinance No. 91-001, no less than
the prevailing salaries and wages noted in the General Wage Decision (Federal Wage Determination)
shall be paid on this Project.
