GARDEN CITY
WAYNE COUNTY, MICHIGAN
CITY PARK ASPHALT SIDEWALK RECONSTRUCTION
The City of Garden City is accepting proposals for the above-referenced project. The proposed project includes full depth reclamation, Portland cement stabilization and resurfacing of an existing asphalt path with a total length of approximately 6000 LF, 8’ wide. The anticipated start date, weather permitting, is June 1, 2020 and complete by August 1, 2020.
Provide (2) copies of bid proposals.
Bids are due and shall be publicly opened at the following time and location:

The deadline for Request for Information (RFI) is Thursday, April 9, 2020, 10 am EST.
The Contract Documents may be examined at the City of Garden City Clerk’s Office, Hennessey Engineers, Inc., Southgate, Michigan, Construction Association of Michigan, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Construction Journal LTD, Stuart, Florida and CDC News Construction Journal, Vero Beach, Florida.
Contract Documents will be available starting Monday, March 23, 2020 after 1:00pm and can be obtained electronically by emailing Alan J. Cruz, PE at Hennessey Engineers, Inc. ajcruz@hengineers.com between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday. There is no cost to obtaining the contract documents.
Bidders must deposit, with their bid, surety in the form of a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any information or to reject any and/or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within 60 days after the date of bid opened.
The Contractor shall be aware that per the City of Garden City Ordinance No. 91-001, no less than the prevailing salaries and wages noted in the General Wage Decision (Federal Wage Determination) shall be paid on this Project.
