2024 - 2026 UTILITY PAVEMENT REPAIR PROGRAM
The proposed project consists of the removal and replacement of temporary pavement, concrete drive approaches, concrete sidewalks, and ADA ramps throughout the City of Hamtramck. This will be a three-year contract terminating after the 2026 construction season. The contract will be a three-phase construction season each year with a list of repairs provided to the contractor by the City of Hamtramck in the early spring, summer, and fall. It is anticipated that if the repair list in the fall cannot be completed in time it will be finished the following spring. The anticipated start date, weather permitting for the 2024 season is May 3, 2024, and substantially completed by November 15, 2024, and final completion by November 30, 2024. Work schedules for seasons 2025 and 2026 will be determined during the 2024 construction season.
SEALED BIDS will be accepted At the offices of the City Clerk: City of Hamtramck, 3401 Evaline Street, Hamtramck, MI 48212. Bid must be clearly labeled “2024 - 2026 UTILITY PAVEMENT REPAIR PROGRAM”
Two (2) Copies of the bid proposal shall be submitted to:

Bids shall be publicly opened and read on: Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. (local time)
All RFI’s shall be submitted via the google link https://forms.gle/x8MVwuiJvBh4pok28 (No calls or emails will be accepted)
The deadline for Request for Information (RFI) is Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. (local time)

The Owner and Engineer will further assess the bids based on the following criteria.
- COST EFFECTIVENESS
- SIMILAR PAST PROJECT EXPERIENCE
- ABILITY TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT WITHIN TIMEFRAME
The following items are required for a complete bid submittal:
- 5% BID BOND
- COMPLETED ITEMIZED BID SHEET
- COMPLETED AND SIGNED EXHIBIT ‘A’ PROPOSAL
- (2) PROJECT REFERENCES WITH SIMILAR SCOPE
Bidders must deposit, with their bid, surety in the form of a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any information or to reject any and/or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within 90 days after the date of bid opened.
