The City of Jackson will receive sealed bids for the 24-08 MLK EQUALITY TRAIL RECONSTRUCTION FROM OPTIMIST SHELTER TO WEST AVENUE project until 10:00:00 AM local time on THURSDAY, JANUARY 18, 2024 at the offices of the Purchasing Department, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities: 0.50 miles of non-motorized trail reconstruction with concrete pavement along the MLK Equality Trail between the Optimist Shelter and West Avenue in the City of Jackson,
Jackson County, Michigan. Major bid items include: Clearing - 1.55 acres, HMA Surface, Rem, Modified - 2,371 syd, Aggregate Base, 6 inch, 21AA, Modified - 3,539 syd, Shared Use Path, Conc - 3,539 syd, Shared Use Path Grading - 2,637 feet, Turf Establishment, Performance - 10,243 syd.

Any questions concerning contract documents or specifications will be addressed at this meeting. This will give companies contemplating submitting a bid a chance to examine the locations of the proposed service/goods and receive interpretations of the contract documents.
Bidders will be required to meet the City of Jackson's prequalification requirements prior to bid opening. Bidders must be prequalified for Streets (A).
