The City of Jackson will receive sealed bids for the project until 11:00:00 AM local time on THURSDAY, JULY 25, 2024 at the offices of the Purchasing Department, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 8th Floor, Jackson, Michigan.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
0.133 MILES OF COLD MILLING AND SINGLE-COURSE HMA PAVING TO PATCH THE FAILING PAVEMENT ON THE OUTER TRAVEL LANES OF I-94BR (MICHIGAN AVE.) BEGINNING 75 FEET EAST OF DWIGHT STREET AND EXTENDING EASTWARD APPROXIMATELY 700 FEET TO THE CITY LIMITS OF JACKSON, MICHIGAN. MAJOR BID ITEMS INCLUDE COLD MILLING HMA SURFACE - 1,800 SYDS AND HMA, 5EML - 210 TONS. CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING FOR THIE PROJECT TO BE PERFORMED BY MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION STAFF.
Bidders may obtain packets containing Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms, Specifications and Contract Forms from the city’s website at http://www.cityofjackson.org/rfq.
Bidders will be required to meet the City of Jackson's prequalification requirements prior to bid opening. Bidders must be prequalified for Bituminous (B). All contractors, both prime and sub, must be pre-qualified by MDOT.
