The City of Jackson will receive sealed bids for the CITY OF JACKSON WTP SODIUM HYDROXIDE SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS project until 2:00 PM local time on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2022 at the offices of the Purchasing Department, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan. Bids will be publicly opened at 3:00 PM.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
THE WORK OF PROJECT IS DEFINED BY THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, UPGRADES TO THE SODIUM HYDROXIDE SYSTEM INCLUDING:
1. PIPING FROM PUMPS TO DAY TANK.
2. TWO RECIRCULATION PUMPS.
3. TWO TRANSFER PUMPS.
4. ONE SUMP PUMP.
5. LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM.
6. OTHER WORK INDICATED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
Bidders may obtain packets containing Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms, Specifications and Contract Forms from the city’s website at http://www.cityofjackson.org/rfq.
Prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2022 at 9:00 AM, Water Treatment Plant, 740 E. Mansion Street, Jackson, MI 49203.
Any questions concerning contract documents or specifications will be addressed at this meeting. This will give companies contemplating submitting a bid a chance to examine the locations of the proposed service/goods and receive interpretations of the contract documents.
