Sealed proposals for REPAINT FOUR (4) CLARIFIERS AND MISCELLANEOUS REPAIRS will be received by the City of Jackson Purchasing Agent, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2021 until 10:00 AM.
The work includes the following partial listing of items with approximate quantities:
Clarifier Steel: Abrasive blast clean all steel above the high-water level to a SSPC-SP6 commercial standard and all steel below the high-water level to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard. Apply a three (3) coat zinc epoxy system to all steel surfaces.
Perimeter Handrail: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP6 commercial standard and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system.
Filter Gallery Handrail: Abrasive blast clean the section that can be removed to a SSPC-SP6 commercial standard, relocate to a contained area and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system. Power tool clean the entire section of railing at the stairs that cannot be removed and apply a two (2) coat epoxy system.
Repair cracks in the walkway floor.
Repairs:
1) Replace catwalk (bridge) support beams – primary clarifier east.
2) Replace steel weirs with fiberglass weirs – all clarifiers.
3) Replace pipe U-bolts and hangers – all clarifiers.
4) Replace deteriorated channel sections – all clarifiers.
5) Lime trough replacement – Primary clarifiers.
6) Roof drain removal – Primary clarifiers.
7) Replace trough steel – all clarifiers.
8) Steel replacement contingency – all clarifiers.

Prospective bidders are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2021 at 10:00 AM, JACKSON WATER TREATMENT PLANT, 740 E. MANSION STREET, JACKSON, MI 49203.
Any questions concerning contract documents or specifications will be addressed at this meeting. This will give companies contemplating submitting a bid a chance to examine the locations of the proposed service/goods and receive interpretations of the contract documents.
