Sealed proposals for the Restoration of the Louis Nevelson, SUMMER NIGHT TREE, a painted steel sculpture will be received by the City of Jackson Purchasing Agent, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan, until MONDAY, MAY 15, 2017, 10:00 AM.
Objectives of the work are: surface preparation for achieving the optimum bonding of the new coatings, removal of all corrosion from the surface as part of the preparation; filling of corrosion pitting and surface defects/damages, optimum achievement of the specified products' potential in bonding, durability, length of useful life and appearance; protection of surrounding property; protection of the natural environment; compliance with all applicable governmental regulations; ordinances, and the safety of the public.

Prospective bidders are REQUIRED to attend a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting on MONDAY, MAY 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM, Purchasing Department, 10th Floor, 161 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49201. Any questions concerning contract documents or specifications will be addressed at this meeting. This will give companies contemplating submitting a bid a chance to examine the locations of the proposed service/goods and receive interpretations of the contract documents.
