The City of Livonia Michigan will receive sealed bids VIA THE MITN WEBSITE ONLY (WWW.MITN.INFO) according the scope of work herein until 2:00 p.m., JULY 6, 2021. PHYSICAL BID SUBMISSION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The City of Livonia seeks proposals for the following:

Repair and panting of walls and ceilings in the Fleet Maintenance Garage located at 13405 Surrey St., Livonia, MI

A public bid opening will be conducted online only via ZOOM on July 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. local time. Interested parties may attend virtually by phone or computer.

A mandatory walkthrough and pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fleet Maintenance Garage located at 13405 Surrey St., Livonia, MI. Firms will be given access to the site where the work is to be performed and the City will address any questions raised at the meeting. Outside of the mandatory prebid all questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing to Enna A Bachelor, Purchasing Manager at ebachelor@livonia.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. The deadline submission of questions is JULY 2, 2021. The City does not guarantee a response to questions submitted after the question deadline has passed. Vendors who planning to attend the mandatory prebid should complete the attached RSVP form and return it via email to the Purchasing Manager no later than JUNE 25, 2021.

Pricing recorded during the online bid opening will be posted to the MITN website. The bid opening figures posted do not represent an intent to award. The City of Livonia will go through its normal evaluation process and award a contract for the services requested herein if it is in the City’s best interest to do so. Vendor’s should make no assumption as to award of contract. Official notice of award will be posted to the MITN website upon contract approval.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal, payable to the City of Livonia, as security for the acceptance of the contract.  A Bid Bond in the Michigan standard form issued by an approved surety company may be furnished.
 
The City of Livonia reserves the right to reject in or in part any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities or both; as it is determined to be in the best interests of the City of Livonia to do so.











The City of Livonia officially distributes bid documents through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (BidNet). Bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. The City of Livonia cannot guarantee the accuracy of any information not obtained from the MITN website and is not responsible for any errors contained by any information received from alternate sources. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the date set for opening thereof. The right to accept any bid, to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities in bidding is reserved by the City of Livonia.  Portions of this Contract may be deleted due to unforeseen circumstances without compensation. Acceptance of any bid does not constitute a binding agreement until a written Contract is signed by both parties.
