2021-2022 TREE TRIMMING PROGRAM

The City of Livonia Michigan will receive sealed bids VIA THE MITN WEBSITE ONLY (WWW.MITN.INFO) according the scope of work herein until 2:00 p.m., SEPTEMBER 15, 2020. PHYSICAL BID SUBMISSION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

A public bid opening will be conducted online only via ZOOM on September 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. local time. Interested parties may attend virtually by phone or computer.

Pricing recorded during the online bid opening will be posted to the MITN website. The bid opening figures posted do not represent an intent to award. The City will go through its normal evaluation process and present a contract to City Council for consideration. Vendor’s should make no assumption as to award of contract. Official notice of award will be posted to the MITN website upon City Council approval.

The trimming of approximately 14,105 trees within the public right-of-ways. Contract is for two years (2021-2022) with an optional, mutually agreed upon two-year extension (2023-2024).

Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal, payable to the City of Livonia, as security for the acceptance of the contract.  A Bid Bond in the Michigan standard form issued by an approved surety company may be furnished.
 
The City reserves the right to reject in or in part any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities or both; as it is determined to be in the best interests of the City of Livonia to do so.

The City of Livonia officially distributes bid documents through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (BidNet). Bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. The City of Livonia cannot guarantee the accuracy of any information not obtained from the MITN website and is not responsible for any errors contained by any information received from alternate sources. Only those firms who obtain the RFB documents from the MITN system are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued.
