Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals for the construction of: 2013 CURB REPLACEMENT AND RESURFACING PROGRAM (RE-BIDDING) will be received by the City Clerk-Treasurer in the City Hall at 120 East First Street, Monroe, Michigan 48161, until 10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, Monday, the 29th day of July, 20 13. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by the City Clerk at 10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, the same day, in the City Clerk-Treasurer's Office. MAJOR QUANTITIES INCLUDE: Remove and Dispose Curb and Gutter 3,585.2 LFT Cold Mill Pavement 9,184.3 SYD Furnish and Install MDOT F-4 Curb and Gutter 3,110.2 LFT Furnish and Install MDOT 13A Bit. Pave. Leveling Course 918.0 TON Furnish and Install MDOT 13A Bit. Pave. Wearing Course 621.3 TON The Proposal and Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, are on file and may be examined at the office of the City Engineer, 120 East First Street, Monroe, Michigan 48161. Copies thereof can be obtained from the Engineering Department of the City of Monroe by making a deposit of FIFTY DOLLARS ($ 50.00 ) for each set of plans and specifications. IF PLANS ARE TO BE MAILED, ADD TEN DOLLARS ($10.00). The full amount of the deposit will be refunded to each bidder for only the one set of documents upon which a bona fide proposal is submitted to the Owner. TWENTY-FIVE dollars ($25.00) will be refunded for each set of documents returned in good condition (unmarked) within thirty (30) days after the bidding date. This is a re-bidding of this project in exactly the same form, so bidders having previously purchased plans and specifications for the bid opening of the same project on July 8, 2013 may re-use all bid forms, as no information has changed. Addendum 1 from the previous bidding also will still apply. Should bidders desire new bid forms, the Engineering Department will provide them upon request at no charge to existing plan holders.
