Sealed proposals for the construction of: CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN PHASE ONE – SANITARY SEWER LINING will be received, through electronic submission to the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) until 10:00 A.M., LOCAL TIME, Monday the 9th day of November, 2020. The bids will be publicly unlocked from the MITN web site with bid total and other pertinent information read aloud at 11:00 A.M. the same day via Zoom teleconference. Bidders desiring to attend this opening should email edward.sell@monroemi.gov no later than Wednesday, November 4 to obtain the meeting link. This contract shall consist of rehabilitation (lining) of various sanitary sewer mains within the Stony Point Subdivision, which is located in Frenchtown Charter Township. Work also includes pre-lining and post-lining investigation and documentation of the main line pipe, and investigation and re-opening of active house leads to the main. The Proposal and Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, may be obtained from the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) / Bid Net Direct at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn. Any questions on this contract / bid documents should be asked on the MITN site no later than November 2, to provide adequate time for preparation of an Addendum, if necessary. The City of Monroe reserves the right to accept any proposal, to reject any proposal or to waive defects in proposals. A bid bond or certified check made payable to the City of Monroe in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid must be posted by each bidder with his / her bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within SIXTY (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, but may withdraw it at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
